Nation celebrates Gurupurab - Golden Temple Photos

Sikhs across the world on Monday are celebrating the birth anniversary of the first of their 10 gurus, Guru Nanak. The day is also know as Guru Purab.

Hundreds of Sikh pilgrims cross the Pakistan border each year to visit the Guru's birth place Nankana Sahib and celebrate the auspicious day.

The day is celebrated with fervour as devout Sikhs visit gurdwaras, organise kirtans and langars. Sikhs across the world wish each other on this auspicious day by sending messages.
